Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a Site Manager for our Construction Division at Svevia. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist – with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility. Are you curious about Svevia as your next employer? Do you want to share the road with us?

We are currently looking for two site managers who want to be part of working on larger land and infrastructure projects within the road, water, and energy sectors. We are looking for colleagues who either have experience in the role of site manager or those who currently see themselves as driven professionals with a few years of experience and who want to take the step into the role of site manager. We see an expanding market in the region and are building an organization for the future. Our projects span a wider range in terms of project type and variation in time and scope.

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the work on-site to ensure that the contract progresses according to plan and to create and follow up on schedules. An important part is to conduct qualitative work preparations together with your team and hold regular meetings with internal staff and subcontractors. A Site Manager at Svevia is accustomed to handling invoice reviews, diaries, notifications, and other quality documentation.

This role gives you the opportunity to be an important part of our plan to expand geographically within the region. The roles are based in Gothenburg, but one of the roles will focus on projects located north of Gothenburg. Please indicate your preferred geography in your application.

Who are you?

To be successful in your role, we see it as a given that you have experience in construction, road projects, and can work independently. You have a few years of experience in a similar role or feel ready to take the step from professional worker to a leadership role.

As a person, you are proactive, solve problems, and tackle the challenges and changes that arise in daily work. You gain energy from taking responsibility and are happy to contribute ideas and have the ability to create profitable business. You are motivated and grow from working with problem-solving and planning, and you do this with order and structure.

Leadership is and will always remain an important issue for us! We believe in developing leadership where you, as a leader, bring out the best in your colleagues and contribute to building a strong and healthy team.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience with simpler measurements and setting out.

We see good communication skills in writing and speaking in Swedish, computer proficiency, and a B driver's license as a given.

Travel may occur in the position.

Part of something bigger

With well-coordinated teams, we build Sweden from the ground up – in concrete, steel, wood, stone, and earth. And we do this by building roads, bridges, quays, and concrete structures for industry, state, and municipalities. Additionally, we break new ground and pave the way for water networks, wind farms, and development areas. We also have specialized units in foundation and land remediation. Together with Svevia's other operations in road maintenance and paving, you will become an important cog in a larger societal machine. This opens up new opportunities for innovation and problem-solving.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to influence and make your voice heard.

We have career paths for those who want to become managers and leaders or want to develop in their existing professional roles. It is as a team that we create success. That is how we do business and generate results. That is how we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
